The Dogs

I´ve always heard about all the stray dogs in South America. My area has some but not a lot. This picture shows some of the bigger, mutt-like dogs, but there are also cute little ones running around, too. One of my teachers told me that sometimes their owners have to abandon them for financial reasons. It´s a little sad to me. Some dogs look a little thin, but overall they seem to get by fine. I also think they must be pretty smart because they know how to obey traffic laws. Sometimes I will take some bread with me to school and throw it to them on the way. Once, my offering was rejected so I figure they can´t be that desperate.
